COVID-19 (Coronavirus): Information

Dear Clients and Business Partners,

Given the escalating risk of the COVID-19 pandemic and the preventive measures recommended by the Romanian Authorities, many offices in Romania have now been recommended to switch over as much as possible to remote working for their lawyers and staff.

Our goal is to reduce the density of people in offices, which the Romanian Authorities’ advice suggests may slow down the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the burden on the local community and health resources. Our offices remain open but we have established a work-from-home system as a precautionary measure so that our lawyers and staff are fully able to work remotely by accessing our firm's systems through a high performance and a secure work platform which ensures the confidentiality, continuity and availability of our services at all times. During this challenging period the high standards of our firm will not be compromised in any way.

During this period we will all be doing what we can to encourage communication through technological means (e-mail, video conferences, conference calls, etc.) which clients seem to prefer but of course in person meetings can still take place where necessary whether at our offices or off- site.

For any legal issue, please do not hesitate to contact any member of our team or me. We will do all we can to work with you to find the best procedures which suit you in the current circumstances. We will of course continue to monitor the situation as it develops and evaluate and inform you of any further steps that we are taking to support our clients and colleagues as required.
