Roxana Ioncu

Roxana Ioncu joined us in the fall of 2019 as an Associate within our Commercial and Corporate Law department, focusing especially on Mergers and Acquisitions, with particular emphasis in the IT field, in both national and international transactions.

Prior to joining us, Roxana practised Corporate Law by working from the beginning of 2016 in one of the largest waste management companies in Romania. Roxana consequently acquired and developed her analytical research and other professional and interpersonal skills in practice during this time.

Over the last 2 years, Roxana has gained significant experience working on various Corporate/M&A deals, drafting transaction documents, undertaking completion actions and performing post-closing monitoring. Roxana currently assists clients active in various industries, with a particular focus on the technology sector.

In the summer of 2019, Roxana finalised her master’s degree studies and deepened her prior accumulated knowledge, specializing in civil law and civil procedural law.

Roxana also studied Personal Data Protection Law, thus obtaining her DPO certificate. Subsequently, Roxana gained experience in this practice area  as well, especially in negotiating various agreements.

• Advised gaming start-up Machinations.io on a 3.3 million USD Series A Financing.
• Advised Druid AI-driven on the USD 15 Million  Series A Financing, the largest funding round in Romania to date in 2022.
• Advised Resource Partners on the sale of World Class, the undisputed leader of the fitness industry in Romania, to African Industries Group.
• Advised PayPoint, one of the main payment operators in Romania, on the acquisition of the majority shareholding in PTP Online, the developer of the 24Pay app.
• Advised the online recruitment platoform Undelucram.ro on the 340,000 EUR Seed Funding Round, led by GapMinder and Seedblink. 
• Advised the MedTech start-up XVision on a 1M EUR Seed Funding Round.
• Advised Catalyst Romania Fund II on their participation as lead investor in the Series A funding round of Code of Talent.
• Advised Catalyst Romania Fund II on their participation as lead investor in the EUR 3M Series A funding round of SeedBlink.
• Advised GapMinder Venture Partners on its investment in Druid AI-driven chatbots.
• Advised GapMinder Venture Partners and DayOne Capital on their USD 1.5 million joint investment in AI driven start-up Soleadify.
• Advised SIBS on the acquisition of Wirecard companies in Romania, namely Wirecard Romania (previously Provus Service Provider), Romcard and Supercard Solutions & Services.
• Advised CODA Intelligence on an EUR 800,000 Seed Funding Round, led by Early Game Ventures and Roca X.
