Stratulat Albulescu advises GapMinder on Typing DNA investment
SAA was pleased to advise the GapMinder Venture Capital fund on their investment in tech start-up Typing DNA, which provides proprietary A.I. based typing biometrics technology, enabling companies to recognise people by the way they type and is already recognised as one of the most successful Romanian cyber security start-ups.
GapMinder sees the investment as a natural addition to their existing portfolio, in the context of the rise in the two-factor authentication (2FA) market, worth an estimated $10 billion.
Founded in Oradea, one of the fastest growing cities in North West Romania, Typing DNA recently received increased interest from large enterprise customers, banks and tech companies. The Seed Round raised a total of US$1.5 million that will fuel the development of Typing DNA’s technology, as well as the further extension of the business in financial markets and large corporations.
Following the SmartDreamers and Fintech OS investments, Typing DNA is the third high profile investment that SAA has advised GapMinder on and which is in the public domain. The team, led by Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat, included Managing Associate Cristina Man and Senior Associate Elena Stan (IP).
