Stratulat Albulescu advises Gapminder on TypingDNA investment
SAA advised GapMinder Venture Capital fund on their investment in tech start-up Typing DNA, which provides proprietary A.I. based typing biometrics technology as a service, enabling companies to recognize people by the way they type and is already recognized as one of the most successful cybersecurity Romanian start-ups.
GapMinder sees the investment as a natural addition to their existing portfolio, in the context of a rise of a two-factor authentication (2FA) market to an estimated value of 10 billion dollars.
Founded in Oradea, one of the fastest growing cities in North West Romania, Typing DNA recently received increased interest from large enterprise customers, banks and tech companies. The Seed Round raised a total of 1,5 million USD which will fuel the development of Typing DNA’s technology as well as the further extension of the business in financial markets and large corporations.
Following the Smart Dreamers and Fintech OS investments, Typing DNA is the third high profile investment that SAA has advised GapMinder on which is in the public domain. The team, led by Managing Partner Silviu Stratulat, included Managing Associate Cristina Man and Senior Associate Elena Stan (IP).
